sir, i recently came to know that my ancestor ,landed property in aurangabad admeasuring 2 acres,and i found my ancestor name in 7/12 extract copy in 2012 record and land is vacant now, i heard government claiming it now,, since i stay in hyderabad i am not well aware about maharastra land authorites.so can you please advise me which authorites i need to approche to get possession back and rights.i will be very greatful to u. AHMED

First of all obtain the latest revenue record of your land either online or by personally visiting the office of relevant Talathi and then hire the services of a local lawyer and act as per his advice.

i am very thankfull to u raj kumar makkad sir, sir i would like to correct myself here, actually that 7/12 is 2012 extract copy,not 1991, in which my grandfather name still continue, could u please advise me whether i need to approach aurangabad collector or to file write petition, in court, i will be very greatful for u r advise, AHMED.

What you need to understand that agricultural lands vest in states.
Under law of Maharashtra if you do not cultivate the agricultural land and even do not go for conversion of the land for other
uses such as commercial or residential,the state reserves it right to re enter.
Then it is no excuse where do you live?
You have not stated why govt.has desired to re enter?Has any notice served upon you?
If yes! What are the contents?
You can not digest half chewed foods,or can you?

thank u sir, prabhakar singh, no notice have been serve to me in regard of this land,some private people were claiming this land and they filed for mutation in concern authority and it has been rejected,as far as 7/12 concern,i notice they circle on where my ancestor name is written,what does it mean?, civil suit 1958 filed by my grandfather,and subsequently this property has been allotted to my grandfather, and this property item no. mention in the list of properties.now i have query, since no notice serve to me from government and what next step for me, thank u sir. Send scanned copies of documents you have.after screening the documents one will come to know about title of the land.Even if govt.enters a SARKAR name on your agri. Land you are deprived from ownership right..Govt cannot take away any property by bypassing land aqu. Act.you can very well restore the title
