Grandson rights in grand father's property !!

(Querist) 05 August 2013 This query is : Resolved
My Grandfather (mother's father) have 96 acres of land .. and he got one son and one daughter (my mother). My grandfather died by leaving without any WILL intestate . My mother is a widow now. Last month when I travelled to abroad for business trip.. during that period my mother's brother convinced my mother by paying just 2 lakh Rs and get the confirmation deed executed in his name for entire granfather's property.

My question is very simple... By any chance.. Do I still have any right left with my grandfather's property or not ??

no you dont have any rights on self acquired property of your grand father . if your mother has relinquished her rights by relinquishment deed in favour of her brother and said document is duly stamped and regd then your mother cannot lay any claim on said property
