My mother has 1 elder brother. After her parents expired, her brother has made property papers and forged her signature to sell some properties and stake his claim on some. he also lives in our ancestral home in goa. we learnt about the forgery and sale of properties through some family friends in goa. what can my mother do to stop this blatant cheating ? Properties left behind by my mom's bachelor and spinster uncle and aunties have also been claimed by him.

You have not stated your religion in the query, since your religion will decide the eligibility for succession of the properties left behind by your maternal grandparents. Further, you claim forgery of documents, there are two ways to complain one is filing a complaint with the police or filing a private complaint against your uncle in the court. It is advisable to contact a experienced advocate locally with all supporting documents/evidence in this regard and proceed further in the matter.

Vishal has rightly said that ur religion is not disclosed.
If you are chirstan, there is no sepretate act ,indian succession act will apply. The property of ur mother's parents and her uncle and aunts, ur mother and her brother have got equal share. So file a suit for partition and ask for interrium injunction order as not to alienatethe poperties till the disposal of the suit.
I think I am right.
