Whats your opinion about prostitution. Its must be an offence in india? Because they didn't do it just for sex. For them day to day needs. If They didn't hurt any one, cheat any one, compell any one mean how its can be offence? If its offence mean why that customers should not be penalized? Leave your thoughts as an expert.

Yes, prostitiution is an offence in India . The prostitute as well as her customer are liable for punishment under the THE IMMORAL TRAFFIC (PREVENTION) ACT, 1956.

Prostitution is illegal in india but legal in some of the countries, as u said they just dont do sex, for them day to day need, my dear that is not a day to day need that is business and they are selling themself for the money. if u ask them they are not happy with what they r doing but there is no other way or planning from the govt.to bring them to main stream of society. Merely booking them or their customers shall not decrease the crime but a well plan projects for their and their children's development and education will definatly lower the ratio of prostitution.

Dear Brother Thangapandian,
This is forum for expressing our opinion only. Since we do not see eye to eye each other,at times we will not be able to understand the trend of thought of the person asking the query. Therefore there is nothing wrong if any member wants to know your mind in order to give a fair opinion. Obviously Adv.Archana has done that only. It is nothing wrong in my humble opinion. PLease don't get excited at all.
I welcome your intention to help those exchanged in sex trade to come out of their profession and reform themselves. But that has been tried by so many persons earlier which has not been succesful. As a fact, a few years back some sex workers were rescued from the red light area in Mumbai and brought to Chennai. They were kept in a home for rehabilitation. Since nothing big took place for their rehabilitation ,they started lamenting that their lives have been spoilt by those who rescued them. Then they went away to look after their trade. It is easy to talk. But when coming to practice, there are so many practical dificulties, since our society is like that.
However I am happy that you have taken up the mantle now. I wish you all the best.
Regards
S.Subramanian.

Madam Thangapandian, you said you wanted a 'revolution' against banning prostitution... so what is wrong if I asked you, why you think so? where little girls are exploited and forcibly made to do such work, should'nt such people be prosecuted?

Prostitution should not be legalised. It ruin family system and spread many deceases. The unemployment and high population may be also considered factors.Prostitution can be put under control upto an extent ,if each and every male members in the family realise their duties and responsibilities.

Prostitution should be banned in India. The Government should help the prostitutes good employment like giving stitching machine etc.,. If we encourage it there may be AIDS patients increased in our country. SO I AM APPOSING PROSTITUTION.

Even banned illegal activities like Ragging, molestation, smoking in public places, moral policing, etc have become an order of the modern day society. It is upto the society to introspect the needs accordingly.
