I had taken a lease mortgaged for Rs.5Lakhs by entering in a Rs.20/= judicial stamp paper agreement which is due to expire on march 2014. The landlord did not inform us about the non payment of the housing loan and hence the bank came with the court order and had taken the physical possession, locked and sealed. Now the landlord says that he needs time to settle the amount as he is not having funds with him. Can i file a criminal case against the landlord for the recovery of the money.

No, u can file civil recovery suit in civil court against ur LL.
