IS MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE IS ENOUGH FOR CHANGE IN NAME FOR GIRLS AFTER MARRIAGE OR THEY HAVE TO MAKE GAZZETTE NOTIFICATION FOR CHANGE OF NAME (IN PLACE OF FATHER NAME CAN SHE WRITE HUSBAND NAME BY PRODUCING MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE OR NOT)

Change of surname after marriage is not mandatory,its only optional.If she desires to do so marriage certificate enough.

i am asking change in father's name i.e. can see write husband name in place of her father's name by producing marriage certificate , surname of both are same.

Author, she can note the husband and need not mention the father name.the marriage certificate issued by the registering authority is enough.

In some documents where father's name (like in PAN card) is mandatory, it has to be written.

Otherwise husband name can be mentioned.
