Minimum duration between 2 hearings in dv case

(Querist) 01 June 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi Guys,

Can any one please tell me what is the minimum time difference (in days/months) in consecutive hearings in case of DV if both parties are from different states.

As my lawyer tells only 15 days are allowed but it's very difficult to attend in this short period.

How I can get more time between 2 hearings?

depends upon court . some times dates are given every week too

It is totally court discretion.

It is totally court discretion and for longer date you can request the court.

Thanks Adv Nanda for your reply.

What are the reasons can be accepted by Court for allowing thie req.

My Parents are 60+, suffering from BP and Sugar and I am working in another state, are these the sufficient reasons?

Yes, you can give the same reasons as expressed by you.

There is no time fixed for that.
Generally it is congestion of a particular court which determines such frequency of dates.

However you should note that unless the case if fixed for your evidence there is no need for your personal attendance.
If there is special reasons you can ask for longer date.
