Name change of new born child

My name - JaiSingh Oli
Is it possible if i register my new born childs name as Karan Singh.(OLI not to be mentioned in certificate)?
As i dont like this surname.

Yes it is possible, what ever name you provide to the hospital where the child born, they will send the same to your local Municipality, who is empower to issue the birth certificate.

chg your name too, especially in case you do not like it.

You can chg new born name too.

Once again i wanna clear with you guys.

I wana keep my child name as KARAN SINGH.
Whereas my full name is Jaisingh Oli.
So on BC his name should mention KARAN SINGH & further docs.

What if authorised person ask me, or if he says "no its not possible"?

Is there any information regarding this in indian laws book/acts? plz guide so i can be ready with my reply to same prson.
