The banks credit card payment are very tricky one. Please be alert once you are using credit card you may come in the trap of the bank for undue payment. Until unless you show your bills for the purchase and payment issued by the bank. The questions can not be resolved so easily. You may further complaint to the RBI against the deed of the Bank.

Generally no one read the terms and conditions of the bank when he issued a credit card.

Please go through the terms and conditions issued for your credit cards that what charges, interest and other dues to be deducted on your credit card.

If every things are right and you feel you are being cheated by the bank file complain against the bank.

IF you feel that the bank has been charging exorbitant rate of interest, remember that its you only who gave it such a power as Tribhuwan opined no one even care to read the terms and conditions before signing on the same. Any how you can issue a notice to the bank and file a case before consumer forum for redressal of your grievance.

I agree with all my ld friends. You can file a civil suit also. Your case is very simple that you have breached the contract. If there is any condition imposing penalty upon you it is invalid. If there is provision of any liquidated damages in case of breach of condition the damages should be reasonable only.
Do not worry, let them go to court and you have so many defense with you.
