Like I didn't want to get in depth but want to sort it without getting anyone in trouble ....I have been in relationship from past 6 years. I came abroad to study last 1.5 year but when i was in realtionship only he started cheating on me from Novemeber 2023. But i wasnt aware he was cheating on me and later he tried to manipulate it. January 2024 I went back to india after a day or so he tried to tell me about and later promised me that he would leave her and get back to me so he asked me space and time for 3 weeks which i gave infact i gave for 4 weeks. So, I waited and eventually at feb 22,2024 he did leave that girl. Later I tried to give some time to fix our issues but he started behaving different. Not picking calls , acting rash, rude, mental torture. Later he said he doesn't want me because I had been emotional manipulating him for the 5 years and I was controlling so he wanted to leave me. But nothing that of it is true .What can I do in this situation? As i planned my whole life with him. I was physical only because he would marry. Later I tried to suicide this has nothing to do with it was only because he wasn't talking or with any communication with me. Then later I did say I am filing a case that time he said no no why would let's try to sort don't do something like and all. And he accepted that after my graduation he would marry me and meanwhile we will sort out our stuff. Later I went abroad he started again not talking and said no I can't be with you and will not. And he is like what compensation how much you want. That was soo disrespectful and I am soo hurt. I don't want any of that. I just want to marry him. Please help me what can I do.... As a girl I am completely broken.

The relationship between both is temporary and cannot be a legal binding to enable you to demand him to marry you.
It is not mandatory that he has to marry you just because you both were in relationship for years.
You were not even engaged to each other.
Hence you don't have any rights to pressure him to marry you neither you can stop him from breaking the relationship nor to prevent him from having relationship with any other character.
If you both had sex then it was consensual though you can now claim that it was on the promise of marriage.
You can at the most lodge a criminal complaint for this breach of promise but if he still refuses to marry you then you cannot force him to marry you against his willingness.

Admittedly, the relationship irrespective of its mental and physical, if any. connotations had been casual and voluntary. No enforceable obligations arise therefrom.

Respected Venu Sir,
So basically legally I can't do anything? How is this fair. Is the law so weak and I cannot get any justice. So, basically I need suffer as a women when it was his mistake is it so?. How is it casual it wasn't. Yes I agree it was voluntary. But this is not fair. I really want to know what else could be done about this

Respected Kalaiselvan Sir,
If I lodge a complain what does it mean he will refuse like I did not understand so what do I do to get into some middle ground here. I don't want actually hurt him but I am getting hurt much more and cannot let it like this as well. Please let me know.

relationship on the promise of marriage and refusal to marry is a rape.
a running reading of your blog could not clarify as to whether the offence is committed while in India of by Indian national abroad.

We were physical for the first 4 years when I was in India and later when I went abroad also we were together in a relationship as well which was the year 2023 but at the end of December 2023 he started cheating and he told me about this in January 2024 when I went to India and then he promised to leave her and then we again were physical because he promised that he would leave her and marry me so I gave my consent to it. Eventually he left in February that time I was already abroad for my thesis. But again after 2 weeks he wasn't willing to do anything to fix and was like I don't want you and all. That time I attempted suicide (March end)(I totally understand this is a very big mistake I should not have done it but I did I don't want like justify it I just want to say I was heart broken that's all). And went back to India because of this reason in April. My parents spoke tried to convince my cousins also tried to. Nothing worked. When I said I would go to police station that is when he said no no I will marry you come here after your graduation let's get engaged and all and between this time let's sort out. I accepted. Once again I went back to complete my thesis and graduation he is back to square one saying I don't want and all.

Certainly, you are not illiterate or uneducated or ignorant of the ways and wisdom of life. In the given facts, no criminal offence is made out.
Perhaps, you have the option is seeking civil remedies and can try your luck in a civil court.

Well opined by expert Mr P Venu Advocate, you are looking for way which is not available.
One side you say that you do not want to hurt him and the other side you want some action to be taken against him, are you making a mockery of law?
When you do not want to understand what is told or opined here then there is no point in frequently visiting this forum with the same questions repeated in a different form
