4. Coureer Service
Can any senior provide me the format of Notice which is to be send with the copy of the WRIT PETITION?
And also the format of AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE.

i think it is the duty of the high court registry to prepare and serve summons.

Yes, as per the direction of the Court you have to take steps for service to opposite party. In case there is caveat of opposite then you'll have to supply the copy of petition to the advocate of that party.

Actually my question was;
which of the following modes are valid mode of service,
1. Personal service
2. Speed Post
3. Regd. Post
4. Coureer Service
Can any senior provide me the format of Notice which is to be send with the copy of the WRIT PETITION?
And also the format of AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 29 October 2009
Each and every mode you mentioned is valid but less reliance is put notice through courier service. So far as the format is concerned, it is given in Order 5 of CPC and all courts issue notices accordingly.
Sachin Bhatia (Expert) 29 October 2009
All these modes are valid modes of service, but you have to follow the direction given by the Court for service.

notice sent in any mode specifically under the direction of court must satisfy sectin 27 of General Clauses Act. pls add these to former replies of all concerned persons
