Sublease and Sublicence

What is Sublease and Sublicence? And what are the Indian Laws relating to it?

Sub lease occurs when a lessee leases the propery out to a third party thus making the third party as a lessee. it depends on the relevant clause under the lease deed and understanding between the Lessor and the Lessee.
the same principle is applied in case of license of a property also.

lease is defined under the transfer of property of act and license id defined under the Easement Act

Lease property can convey through the sub-lease or sub-let to the others called as sub-lease. Transfer of Property act, stamp act, registration act mainly govrning this sublease.

A license granted by a licensee to a third party, under the authority of the license granted by a licensor to the licensee

An example is the sublease of an apartment by the tenant to another party. If the lessee accounts under the operating lease method, the sublessee would also account under this method.
