Mr. Sanjay,

Element of artificiality clearly appears in your query. The question arises, are not the sureties yours own and are arranged by your lawyer? Perhaps he is a very noble lawyer, who arranged sureties for you in 498a case. Is not it strange?

However, if there is even a bit of truth in your story, at first change your lawyer, who changed sides, and then arrange for other sureties, if the original sureties happen to withdraw.

The lawyer has the professional obligation to protect your rights. Please stand up and tell him of his obligation.

There may be possibilities that your case has less merits in your favor and hence your lawyer as advised accordingly.

Take a second opinion and proceed.

Query is prima facie a hypothetical, case u/s 498A IPC are being proceeded in the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class and not Sessions Judge Rohtak.
If you are not satisfied with the performance and advise of your lawyer, change him/her immediately.
