Why did you stop depositing the rent in the rent control court for two years?

Better Go for an Amicable Solution ,speak to the Land Lord.Hope you do not have other intentions Please.

Agreed with Mr NJS Rajkumar as non-deposit of rent is the best ground available to landlord. You are at receiving end.

landlord cannot sell the rented premises during pendency of court proceedings for eviction . better deposit arrears of rent in court . contact a local lawyer . challenge sale of rented premises by landlord
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 02 November 2014
Try to have amicable solution, if not possible deposit rent arrears with the rent controller. Consult a local lawyer.

The experts have suggested both the ways i.e., legal and out of court arrangement, you may choose which ever is practically better.
