sir i am selected for the government job , and my family have changed our home recently to a new address in same city as we live on rent (dont have personal home) . sir during police verificatioh n police will police ask for same address on our ration card as on which address we are living now .
sir please give me direction as it will take so much time to change the address in ration card and voter id etc. what to do now ?? should change the home agin in same colony on which address my documents have ..

you quqry is vague.
you have not disclosed whether:-
(1) new and old address are in same thana?
(ii) you have already filled attestation form.
(iii) if filled attestation form whether revised attestation form has been given by you.
(iv) not not filled attestation form whether you have informed the deptt regarding new address.

I am confusing to understand your query.But I understood that what ever you have mentioned your residential address at the time of applying for the post, is shown on your Ration Card and Voter Cards, but now you have changed your address, where there is no address proof for the present address, even in case if the police people will come for personal verification.
It is not possible to change the address as appeared on the Ration Card and Voter Card.

Go to the Station House Officer (Thana incharge) and inform them you have been selected for a Government job and at any time his details may be referred to Thana for verification. Ask them to note your new address and conduct verification. As it is in the same Thana, there will not be difficulty. The verification process is to confirm your residential address but to verify whether any police cases are pending against the prospective employee. It is all routine unless criminal record exists against such person. Need worry. Take it light.

If you have shifted your residence to a new place, you may have entered into an rental agreement or aleaseagreement, that will be sufficient to prove your residential address, so donot worry about the police verification, you can convince them the fact

For every police station there would be mostly one officer in charge exclusively for these purposes meet him personally and explain the situation and regularly keep in touch with him till it is sorted out.
