Transer of ancestral property from grand father to grand son

my grandfather inherited ancestral property from his father after his death as per hindu succession act(shared with his brother), my grandfather has 3daughters and 1 son(my father),now my grandfather wants to transfer all those ancestral land to me as my father is an alcoholic and family is afraid that after my grand father he may sell all land and waste the money.
If transfer can't be done then is it possible for me to bar my father from selling land or mortgage it without my consent?

i'm really sorry for trouble but once i posted it in civil law then only i realized that i didn't change the section to family law i tried to modify but couldn't do so as there was no option..............so kindly ignore this one
