Transfer of ownership of land on self name.

Sir, I am houseowner and want the land below the house to transfer on my name as the landowner is expired 28 yrs back and nobody is claiming the ownership of the land. I am paying the land revenue for last 28 yrs. My house is located in Nasik district in Maharashtra.

R u tenant or owner of house?
No body is claiming the land this does not mean that you will be owner of land. Contact SRO or local corporation for transfer of land on ur name.

Only the legal heirs of the deceased landl owner cna transfer the land in your name.
Your ownership of house or making payment of municipal tax would not make you owner of the whole land.

You can not be owner legally till sale deed executed in your favor by all the legal heirs of the deceased.

Paying taxes can not confirm ownership.
