In case a trust has an Agricultural Property wherein the names of the Trustees are on record who have expired. Now that the Trust wants to update the record by bringing the names of the present trustees, is it mandatory to 1st get the said property converted into Non Agricultural in order to bring the names of the new trustee on record? Is there any provision for not getting the said property converted into non agricultural and still getting the property card updated.

No. Having the ownership of the agricultural land and updating the record of trust are two different things having no inter-connection with each other. There is no such provision as you told. Revenue record and trust record are two distinct and separate issues and there is no occasion to club these two.

Thanks. However, the office of the Property Card is not ready to bring in the names of the new trustees, as the property is shown to be agricultural. They are asking to 1st convert the property from agricultural to non agricultural.
What should be done??
