Whether pil can be filed for not enhancing the wage ceiling in epfo since 2001.

As all of you know that EPFO is a social security organisation working under the Ministry of Labour & Employment,Govt. of India.EPFO has not increased the wage ceiling since 2001 although the inflation has been four times since 2001 but no enhancement in wage ceiling.The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour specifically recommended that the wage ceiling should be immediately enhanced but no enhancement till yet.Last year The Indian Labour Conference also strongly recommended that wage ceiling should be enhanced immediately but not enhanced.ESIC who is also a social security organisation for medical facilty they have enhanced two times presently wage ceiling in ESIC is Rs 15000 but in EPFO only Rs 6500.Recently the many state govt as well as central govt hiked the minimum wages so that minimum wages itself crossing Rs 6500.I want to know more the Expert whether a PIL can be filed in Honble Supreme Court for enhancing the wage ceiling in EPFO.

Yes both PIL and individual Writ would lie in the supreme court.
