Wife doesn't want to give divource

Dear experts,
I filed for divorce with my wife on the basis of mental cruelty.
But my wife doesn't want to give divorce and a always said that she will give divorce to me.
Can judge give orders to give divorce against her wishes.
If yes, then how approx how long it will take to get freedom from her?

You have make out grounds for divorce. the question of wish not to give divorce by ur wife is secondary.
usually in matrimonial case the courts are reluctant to speedy trial because the chance of reunion are more the case is prolonged.

The divorce is granted in a contested suit only of the ground for divorce is proved in the court.
If your succeed to establish the grounds for divorce in the court then you would surely get divorce. What your wife says is not of much relevance.

you have filed for divorce on grounds of cruelity. if you are able to prove it , the court will grant the divorce, her desire is of no consequence

You have to prove in court that your wife inflicted cruelty upon you and it is impossible to live with her in future if it continued.

contested divorce takes time . it depends upon pendency of cases in the family court . burden of prrof is upon you
