4th International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights

The creativity and innovation in science and technology, arts and culture, traditional knowledge and biodiversity resources etc. are stimulated by Intellectual Property. One of the key drivers for India's economic growth and socio-cultural development is creativity, innovation and the power of shared knowledge for the benefit of masses. The legal framework for IPR does reflect the underlying policy orientation and national priorities, which have evolved over time, taking into account the development needs and international commitments.

While promoting National IPR Policy, 2016 and aligning with related international policies, it will nurture the IP culture to the greater level in India and address all facets of the IP system. The Policy will guide and enable all creators and inventors to realize their potential for generating, protecting and utilizing IP which would contribute to wealth creation, employment opportunities and business development. It will integrate and create synergies with IP related aspects of various sector specific policies and provide a roadmap for holistic, effective and balanced development of the IP system in India.

With a view to stimulate a dynamic, vibrant and balanced intellectual property rights system in India based on new National IPR Policy, 2016, ASSOCHAM is organizing the 4th International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights "Creative India; Innovative India" on Friday, 21st October 2016 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
