6 year old kid passport name change

Hi,

I had taken passport for my kid when she was 3 yr old. When we put her in school we changed her name. The only document in her old name is the pssport. Birth Certificate do not mention any name.

What are the legal options  i have to get passport in her new name?

1. Can I simply re apply for new passport?
2. Can I apply for re-issue of the passport?I so do I need to folloq the process of name change in this case as well.

Thanks in advance

firstly you should make application at birth and death registar office, where your child was born. than they issue new birth certificate of your child.they might be take late fees for adding name of your child.

Hi Chirag,

Thanks for your reply.

Tryign to understand How does getting a name on Birth cirtificate help the cause? Since the name in the valid passport is different . Should't I be followign the name change procedure that is prescibied by PO. I;e giving advertisemenrs in papers etc..etc.

Thanks

Querist,

you must apply for the re-issuance of the passport and must give the reason as to why you need the re-issuance of that passport.

Simply applying for new passport without mentioning the previous one amounts to fraud and you may be liable for that.

Now I Provide you three links which you must visit to feed your quest properly
