? Father in Law is having illicit relationship with whose blood relatives ? If he is doing something with his own blood relatives, what is son in law problem. Generally such people are very timid and want to do such things secretly only. Please fully assess the side of son in law, there is more to this case then what appears,

How did you know about FIL having a relation?
Was it with you relative?
Wast it without the wish of woman?
Did that woman come to complaint to you?
Did you not like to see the mood of your wife whether she is permissive to her father or not?
In case your allegation was on suspicion (or at least your wife did not believe) why should your wife not be afraid of similar allegation against her.
Whther all this happend in one day that your FIL took away your wife, file a case also?
It seems you have worked hard to make your life miserable.
