The Bar Council framed the rule that no candidate, who has reached 45 years shall be allowed the licence (Sanad) to practice. This is in line to encourage the genuine candidates to practice the profession. However, as I understand,  there is a stay against the rule and matter appears to have been pending before the Court.

Presantly there is no age limit for registration with the Bar Council as per available information.

@Querist,

1.Most of the law colleges has restricted those candidates from being admitted in LL.B course who have attended the age of 30 yrs. plus.

2.Those who have already hold a law degree namely(LL.B or LL.M or higher degree) but previously not joined bar council at the time of completion of the course,may get themselves registered at respective SBC(State Bar Council)at any age.

You can verify these things by reading  BCI Rules Part IV.
