Code? Which Code? it is free for all.

Anil Agrawal (Retired)     10 March 2010

What is archaic? An example. My friend to the Tehsildar's office for some work. Govt pays them all right but they don't work free for us.

Any way. The work was done. The document was typed on a paper that was embossed with HIS MAJESTY'S GOVERNMENT AND BORE THE PHOTO OF KING GEORGE VI.

During British days, it was the practice to end the letter like this:

I have the honour to be, Sir,

Your most obedient servant

etc. etc.

When I use the word automatically, I mean that whoever is concerned with and affected by such archaic rules, must raise his voice to get it amended.

what about people like  ARUP who are self declared ill informed still getting maximum points and maximum thanks on this site and people like Rajoo advising how to manage to get points.

Pl tell how to infrom management for abuse of this site by people like ARUP.

Good discussion! Mr. Vishwa and Sivan rightly said. Who are the rule makers are already amended their rules. But we are hanging on the orthodox rules. Advocacy is a service. A good lawyer need not be advetised himself, as said my learned friend. His clients who got good result, they can give mouth publicity to the advocate.

After my iniitial posting in this thread, I have come across a few bar associations of courts having web sites where all the office bearers and the list of members are available. However they do not go the whole hog and no phone numbers or complete contact details are given. Moreover, no areas of specialisations are mentioned. A lawyer specialising in tax laws is unlikely to handle divorce or murder cases.

Before selecting his lawyer, a litigant must have full and fair opportunity for evaluating his competences.

Thank you all for your support.

Vishwa
