are the lectures and professors of private MBA and engineering colleges (recognised by university) covered under gratuity act?

By way of amendment in Payment of Gratuity Act 2010, Educational Institutions are covered under the Act. Since private MBA and engineering colleges (recognised by university) falls within the ambit of Educational institution as such its employees including teachers, lecturers. professors other teaching or non teaching staff is covered under gratuity act?
