Application u/s 125crpc filed after 15 years of divorce

My brother's divorce took place on 15/8/1997. He has a daughter aged about 19 years. His daughter lives with his ex wife. After 15 years of divorce on 12/4/2012 my brother's has filed application u/s 125 crpc claiming maintenance for herself and her daughter. In that application she has stated that my brother is a government employe but in fact my brother is unemployed . Is that application maintainable?

Yes. Application is maintainable. She is entitled to maintenance for herself and the daughter, till they get married.

What will be the effect of false statement of wife in respect to the monthly income of her husband ? Because she has stated that her ex husband is a lecturer in govt. college but in fact her ex husband is unemployed .
