Advocate Jaylal Jaisingh Bisukarma (lawyer)     19 November 2008

Bar Council of India, Bar Council of State, Local Court Bar Association.

The Bar Association formed in every court should aim that every advocate should have brief (paid one). Normally Bar Association has involved in dirty politics. Spending money in luxurious party. But few are really working for the welfare of the advocates. One of them is the Thane Court Bar Association who has done a commendable and exemplary task for the advocate. A junior advocate died of heart attack, the bar association made contribution of Rs. 5 lakhs and handed over it to widow of the advocate. Bar Association should work for the unity of the advocate fraternity and not to break it.

It is not the job of Bar Association/Bar Council  to give brief to its Advocate/Members nor it can do so.  Bar Associations generally are functioning more effectively for the cause of advocates. There may be isolated case of spending on luxurious, but it is  sorry to note that sweeping  remarks has been made by you against Bar Associations.  Many Bar Associations are rewarding prizes/educational assistance to wards of advocates who had come out  in flying colors etc. etc.

Works/briefs are from own efforts. My Bar Association is very helpfull and maintaing good liabrary and organise workshops/sympozium/etc. time to time. we are the part of our bar association. if some members are on wrong directions, it is our duty to reform such members and to maintain the dignity of the bar/advocates. you people may pass the resolution in general house for punishment of such advocates.
