well this issue was discussed earlier as well at various levels.

no doubt the southern part of India is having a lesser access to SC and once it was observed that the percentage of matters coming from North India is higher than South India.

i think there should be a Bench of SC somewhere in South India....it will no doubt reduce the litigation cost for the poor people and will give easy access to SC to the people from South India.

but the problem is the same demand may errupt from West as well as from East.

but one solution can be there like e-filing and e-courts.....let the SC be in Delhi but the arguments through networking should be allowed.

MR KIRAN KUMAR IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. DURING BRITISH ERA EARLIER CALCUTTA WAS THE SEAT OF SUPREME COURT.EASTERN PART OF INDIA WILL BE BEST BENEFITTED IF ANOTHER BENCH IS ARRENGED IN CALCUTTA CONSIDERING GEOGRAPHICAL POSITION AND BENEFIT OF POOR COMMON  PEOPLE.
