Benefits to Women
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had in July, 2001 advised all Public Sector Banks (PSBs) to earmark 5% of their Net Bank Credit (NBC) to women entrepreneurs. As reported by RBI, the amount of loan disbursed to women under certain special schemes as on March 31, 2009 stood at Rs. 108469.11 Ñòîãå.
This information was given by Minister of State for Finance, Shri Namo Narain Meena in written reply to a question raised in Lok Sabha today.
