These are usual threats, record such conversations, and inform her parents and police to avoid harassment from them.

Suicide is possible one time only! How every time?

Hello!

If you feel that the suicide threats are not serious and just for attention, you can amicably and in a peaceful manner talk about it without starting a fight and instigating your partner. But if you are feeling that the threats can be serious and cause you legal trouble, then you should know about the legal consequences and remedies for defence.

Section 503 of the Indian Penal Code talks about criminal intimidation. It is a threat to harm property, reputation, or person and these threats are usually unlawful. If your partner leaves a suicide note and attempts to suicide, you can be made liable under Section 306 of IPC, therefore to prevent yourself from such mishaps, it is advised you visit the nearest police station and inform the station house officer. You can write an application to the SHO mentioning the condition of the girl and also that you should not be made liable.

If you feel that suicide threats have led to harm in your reputation in front of a reasonable society, you can also file a suit of civil defamation or criminal defamation under Section 499 of IPC. It is advised for the safer side that you save the calls and messages that include suicide threats to protect yourself.

If she feels insecure about her future and is losing faith or confidence in you then in order to make you agree for marriage she may adopt the tactics of giving suicidal threats.

You may decide whether to marry her or to break your relationship with her, in case of the latter then you may issue a legal notice to her to refrain from posing such suicidal threats, you can endorse a copy of this legal notice to the local police station also in order to protect your future interests in this subject.

It is a threat to blackmail and hurt your sentiments to pressurize you for fulfillment of her desires, which has no legal implication.

Do not stop and let her free of her choice / action.
