Sir,
Our building was constructed in 1996 and assessed for tax from 1998.
I had purchased a flat in the year 2001. The date of assessment as stated by BMC was April 2002 .
The Society received the Occupation Certficate in the year 2007 .
I want to know whether we are liable for property tax from the date of purchase or from the date of assessment of the Society or from the date of assessment of our flat or after the date of granting of Occupation Certificate ?
Please guide as the sum involved is in crores of rupees.
