Can we appoint

Dear Friends,

Can a women who has filed for 498A Case, can appoint a private advocate or only PP shall represent her?

yes. every complainant can appoint his own lawyer.

I endorse Biswanath Roy.  You cannot appoint Advocate of your own, but you can make your advocate to assist PP or Addl. PP.

You have to obtain permission of court to assist PP through your own advocate, this is permitted in law.  In such event, your lawyer can only assist PP but he cannot conduct trial on behalf of PP in any manner.
