What is the application and purpose of that application?

in any application moved in court. be it for amendment, rejection of plaint etc. whether caselaws and sections can be mentioned in the body of application. can the application be argumentative

1. When seeking relief for your grievances or applications, you have to mention the Law, its sections and any available judgments /orders relating to your claims /relief.  This helps the judge /magistrate to give a complete judgment or speaking order with proper justifications.

2. Every procedures does not have a citation, as you made out.

While drafting an application provision of law has to be mentioned (if you are aware).

Citation / ratio of judgment shall be an advantage for applicant, which is neither mandatory nor compulsory.
