Caught b/w bank and deed

Hi,

My husband purchased a flat in 2010 and we got married in 2011. The flat is registered on my husband's name. I want to contribute to the home loan and also save on my tax. Bank officials say that it is not possible to add my name in loan account as the sale deed is on my husband's name. Also, sale deed cannot be modified as the flat is mortgaged to the bank and re-registration cannot happen now. How do I get around with this?

If this is not possible, how else can I save on my tax on HRA?

Thanks,

Nivi

You need to consult a Ca for saving taxes . They are the people who can advise you in regards to tax savings .
