City survey

Dear sir, I have a property In Surat the property is given by my aunty. Iam her real sister son but she had love and affection with me so she made a registered will in my name now she is no more. I want to sell the property but before that my name should be in city survey . Now the question is whether register will is enough to enter my name in city survey or successtion certificate or probate is required in my case I don't know about Surat law. Please advice I HV lost lot of money no body is properly answering pls advice.
