It is the discreation of the Sub-Registrar to accept the un-registered power of attorney for selling the property. If the GPA is given to any of the family members for selling the property, if it is not registered also, it holds good.

Unregistered power of attorney can not be used to sell a property.

Registration of an immovable property worth more than one hundred can be effected by only a registered power of attorney.
