The heirs of the deceased workman can put up a claim as per Employees compensation Act wherein the amount of claim is  calculated as per age of deceased multiplied by relevant factor prescribed in the act.  The Labour court of the area is normally notified as the Employees Compensation commissioner, which is the authority to try and decide the claim.
