complaint against police

Police registered false case against the accused falsely and on contest the accused acquitted. can the accused can lodge complaint against police and defacto complaint after lapse of 10 years.

limitation for filing a suit for malicious prosecution is one year from the date of acquittal

There is no reason to file suit for malicious prosecution after lapse of 10 years as there is well defined provision of limitation. Agree with Mr.Arvithan
