498a is pending against me and my family. I wish to apply for DDA flats & wish to fill my marital status as married (altough others are advising to fill unmarried to avoid any future problem with dda regarding affidevits etc). Kindly let me know, can I give a court affidevit to DDA (if flat allotted) that as my wife does not live with me, we are separated (offcourse I shall give them proof like FIR copy), will they forgive the condition of asking for affidevit from spouse (as it is the condition for taking possesion of flat). kindly suggest. I dont wish to fill unmarried status & thereby giving any false information in the appliaction form.
