Consumer complaint

Can the consumer complaint be filed without first issuing the notice to the opposite party. Whether issuance of notice is mandatory before filing of the complaint. Please refer to citation(s) if possible.

Thanks

Yes, the consumer complaint can be filled without issuing any prior notice to the opposite party, as Consumer protection act does't not envisage to do so mandatorily, however issuing a prior notice will strengthen the case.
