The so called contract letter is no contract in the absence of execution of contract on proper stamp paper, duly signed and registered. Are you an employee? or you have undertaken any work on contract basis?

Mr. Hemang has given valuable advice. Kindly follow it and revert.

You are in which state? What is this establishment: Commercial or Industrial Establishment?

If you were an employee, you may look into certified standing orders of the company/IESO Act/Model Standing Orders/…………………and if the establishment is a commercial establishment then

(Name of the state) Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, also.

Were you under probation? Are you sure that you would be covered in definition of ‘Workman’.

Are you exploring the possibilities of retrenchment compensation?
