1. I am planning to purchase an agriculture plot in rural area and plan to use this for residential purpose. Could you please let me know the procedure to convert agriculture land to residencial land? Is it esseential to convert the same? How much tax or charges i have to pay for the same?
2. What If this land is under society act and giving membership by offering plots of different sizes. is it esseential to get it converted in residential category before purchasing the plot of the society.

For that you have to make an application to the Collector in prescribed form to grant sanad/permission.
