Legally claiming the amount spent

I spent money for my father's hospitalization, around 5 lakhs.  I have several loans that I need to repay. When I ask my father for some amount he denies to give any. Only if he helps I can repay that loan. Can I claim that money from my father or atleast ask him to help me in repaying the loan legally becasue these amount I spent for him? I have all the data because I payed through my debit/credit card.
