Confused Nation ???

Today I received an email, I thought its worth sharing with LCI members.....

Confused Nation ???

WORTH A QUICK READ !!!

A nation where Rice is Rs.40/- per kg and a SIM Card is free•

Where a pizza you have ordered reaches home faster than an ambulance or police, even if you were being murdered or having a heart attack•

Where a car loan is charged at 5% but an education loan, so necessary for our youth is charged an interest of 12%•

A nation where students with 45% get into elite institutions through the quota system and those with 90% are sent away because of merit.•

Where a millionaire buys a cricket team, spending crores instead of donating the money to any charity. Where two IPL teams were auctioned at 3300 crores, yet still a poor country where people starve for two square meals per day.•

A country where footwear is sold in AC showrooms, but the vegetables we eat, are sold on the footpath and very often next to garbage dumps.•

Where everybody wants to be famous, not by doing good for others, but by looting others and finally getting their names in the newspapers through some scam or other!•

It’s a strange nation we live in, where complex buildings get ready within a year while public bridges, flyovers and sea links take several years even to get off the drawing board and another decade to be completed•

We are a nation where two brothers fight with each other for the nation’s spoils, but the nation doesn’t know that the two of them are cleverly looting the nation while we watch their mock battles.•

We have malls, and sky-rises, with slums forming their boundary wall.•

A country where men and women squat on railway tracks, with no where else to go while watching them from windows, are couples with three bathrooms and one for the guests•

A country where politicians who are supposed to serve the people accept money from the same people they are supposed to serve, then take a salary from the government for their services to the people•

We are a nation where we talk in hushed whispers about the corruption in the country and then dig into our pockets to bribe a cop when we are caught cutting a red light

We cannot solve all problems but we can take some time out to Join the India Against Corruption movement. See what events they're having in your city. You'll feel that much better for being a part of the solution, instead of being a part of the problem. None of us is perfect, we cannot point fingers at others. Let's do what little we can. It's better than feeling resigned and helpless. Our sentiments, no matter how noble, cannot change the situation.

Archanaji, there is a saying, BINA MANGE MOTI MILE, MANGE MILE NA BHEEKH.

I  m adding one more item, person ridding E class Mercedes Benz, fills/run on subsidized fuel (diesel), but person ridding moped fills overcharged fuel (Petrol).

Kahin dhoop kahin chhaya hai.

Incredible india or Amazing India.

Fate or luck is prevailing everywhere.

An individual is lucky if he/she is not victim of incredible India.

the main problem is it is easy to blame others , every one contributes to the state of affairs.

We really need a sense of responsibility amongst Indians... ppl keep their houses clean but have no shame in thowing chocolate wrappers, icecream cups. fruit skins on the road.. not thinking  that its our own country the same person, if he visits some foreign country would behave in much deciplined manner... then why not in our own country?

@Ashutosh, Kushan

You are right, we boast of 'Incredible India'...!! and true, merely speaking of 'Incredible India' or 'India shining' won't change anything. Things can change only when we can at least try to do whatever good we can on our part....

@Arupj,i if everyone points fingers at others and expect only others to do something and say 'what can I do?' then the situation will never change. Though everything is not in our hands but at least try to do good and behave like a responsible citizen where ever we can, the words 'Incredible India' or 'India shining' would really sound meaningful.

Thanks Archanaji,

Humans are basically animals; it is law which makes us distinct. West too was barbarous but it is strict enforcement of law has set them right.

When law fails, shame and responsibility can off course is the only option.

Honest & law-abiding r forced to pay the damage done by the law breaker and dishonest.

What kind of harm the birds and vegetative animals of jungle have done to the bird catcher and animals like Lion, Tigers, Jackals and Dogs.

It is fast becoming Jungle out there, like Afghanistan, Iran, and Waziristan etc which are popularly called as non-governed countries.

A very different, matured and interesting suggestion.I never thought that way!

Yes,foreigners must file such cases. If Indians file against their own govt. for not providing them good facilities despite promising in elections, politicians won't take it seriously.

But if foreigners do,they will be taken seriously..
