Bar Council of India (BCI) - Legal Education Committee’s resolution on disqualifying of Faculty members with LLM Qualification from Distance Education- Acharaya Nagarjuna University (NAAC-B)-Guntur-Andhra Pradesh etc recognized by DEC-IGNOU-UGC/Ministry of HRD/Government of India from teaching Law in centre of Legal Education in India - this ill-designed drive-Puts the fate of thousands of Government and Private colleges teachers in state of A.P and whole country to hang in balance-besides making them permanently unemployed - The implementation of BCI resolution proving a fatal amssive and a irreparable damage to the lives of LAW Post graduate - Request yours kind concern to please probe into the matter and do needful to CANCEL such order immediately please_regarding.

2. Shri. Asaduddin Owaisi the Hon’ able M.P. (Lok Sabha, Hyderabad-A.P.) representation on the subject matter with the Chairman, University Grant Commission, New Delhi dated: 06-01-2014.
3. Other representations made by the various Government & Private Teachers Associations in India, to the Chairman/UGC, New Delhi, the Chairman/Bar Council of India, New Delhi, and to the Director/DEB/ IGNOU/UGC/ New Delhi etc.,
With reference to the subjected cited above, this is to submit for yours kind information and for necessary action please. That, Bar Council of India’s Legal Education Committee has resolved that, “Master of Law (LL.M) through distance education mode OR Correspondence mode should not be considered as qualification for appointment of teachers to teach law to the students in law colleges in India .” Where as the LLM Course in the universities are governed by the standards setting governmental bodies like University Grants Commission (UGC), Distance Education Bureau IGNOU and NAAC, AICTE, NCTE etc., these harsh, Sudden-Unconstitutional, Immoral and Unethical-oblique motive and ill-designed drive- which Puts the fate of thousands of Law teachers in the country to hang in balance, besides making them permanently unemployed in future.” If this Resolution / Circular of BCI is implemented, there will be irreparable damage to the lives of hundreds of LLM post-graduates in Andhra Pradesh and in the country”.
Further, it is a matter of concern that, LLM Course through distance modes in several Universities in India are exclusively governed by the standards of the UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION, The Distance Education Council (DEC) AND IGNOU Ministry of HRD/Government of India. Besides the UGC has Mandatory for every lecturer to go through National Eligibly Test (NET) and State Eligibility Test (SET) to become a lecturer in their particular subject. Besides the Indian universities like Acharaya Nagarjuna University – (NAAC-B) Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh etc., has their study material and LLM distance mode Course Syllabus at par with the international standards.
In the light of the above facts and circumstances, We the aspirants of LLM Students and Teachers from distance education mode, (Viz Acharaya Nagarjuna University, NAAC-B, Guntur A.P etc.) requests yours kind concern to please probe into the matter favorably and pass necessary urgent orders to the authorities concerned with instructions to probe into the matter concerned and conduct a thorough inquiry and investigation and take-necessary action to CANCEL such unconstitutional-Immoral-Unethical-oblique motive and ill-designed drive of the Legal Education Committee, Bar Council of India which is intended to make lakhs of LL.M Distance modes teachers UNEMPLOYED and their fate to hang in balance and do needful at an earliest in the interest of lakhs of professionals of noble profession and oblige.
