Wife can not be denied maintenance merely because she has not raised any claim for a long period

Merely because the wife has not raised any claim for a long period that does not mean that she can be denied maintenance now, when she is claiming the same. That apart, the petitioner has not led any evidence or material to show that the respondent wife is earning something and is able to maintain herself.

dear mr beni prasad, you are really doing a commendable job by giving references of useful judgements here, however i would like to request you, to kindly post judgements which are useful to hapless men, struggling here, instead of boasting the morale of 'greedy woman' who just want to suck the blood of inoccent husbands. i garuntee that you will receive much more appreciation from helpless husbands than the greedy women......
