Buying new property

Hello, I want to know the legal procedure for buying a property.

Your question should be specific.  There is nothing called legal procedure for buying property.  However, being high value transaction of immovable property, you need to have documentation for transferring the property in your name.  This can be done through registration of sale deed with the registrar.  Please ensure that all important things like transferor, transferee details, consideration paid, area, other rights etc. are included in the sale deed.  Please ensure that title of the property is clear.  Advocate, New Delhi, 09810501235

ensure that the land is pakka patta land or govt/assigned land.  if it is a govt/assigned land, it will be prohibited.  the vendor shall have full rights over the property.  ask the vendor for previous documents and get an Encumbrance Certificate of the Survey number in which the property is situated.

Precaution is better than cure", which would be most appropriate when buying an immovable property.
