Devajyoti Barman (Advocate) 22 December 2009
The parents by affirming a affidavit and publishing an advertisement in a news paper to that effect can disown their son but that is never a 'guarantee' to save the parents from getting arrested in a case u/s 498A.
In the affidavit the parent can describe the 'abnormal' behaviour of his daughter-in-law.
Apparently it does not have any 'advese effect' on the case.

dear,
you parents can disown you by way of publication in the leading news paper
You have to live seperately from your parents or in alternate you can seek anticipatory bail , that should be moved seperately by you and your parents and you can save your parents from arrest.
yes, parents can point out the abnormal behaviour of the daughter in law.
Subhash kumar, Adv
it will not effect on the marit of the case .
