Maternity benefit

Dear Respected Experts,

I am working for a manufacturing company in Pune for last 3 yrs.

Now I am expecting and due in january 2017.

Doctor has advised me not to exert myself .

Now I want to resign and would like to get three months maternity benefit.

Am I eligible for this benefit now.

Please advise.

Thankyou & Regards,

Supriya Tilekar.

Submit Doctor's Rx shwoing tentative date of delivery to employer under proper acknowledgment.

Don't resign.

Submit leave application under proper acknowledgment alongwith Doctor's bed rest advise.

Maternity Benefit is 3 weeks prior to delivery and 3 weeks after pregnancy delivery and 1 more month if pregnant woman is sufferring from sickness due to pregnancy delivery and bonus.

since you have not provided the exact date, let me presume it is 15th January 2017. You can avail maternity benefit from roughly 1st December to roughly Feb end (84 days total). if you cannot work right now, explore options of work from home, part time work, or leave without pay with the employer. Show doctor's certificate. I am presuming he too is a human being who like all of us was born out of our mother's womb!

There are many illustrated threads on Maternity benefit that you can search in 'Search Topics & Post' option on right hand side bottom of this web page.

Communicate under proper acknowledgment with employer.

Avoid acting on impulse and remain amiable.
